The meaning of Iman

Iman (meaning “faith”): represents the inner conviction and belief that fuels the outward actions of Islam. It’s the invisible foundation on which Islam is built. Iman includes:

The meaning of Iman in Sharia

1. Belief in Allah (Tawheed):At the heart of Islamic faith lies the belief in the oneness of God, Allah, who created and sustains all existence.
2. Belief in the Angels: Muslims hold faith in the existence of angels, ethereal beings fashioned from light by Allah. These angels fulfill His commands .

4. Belief in the Prophets of Allah: Islamic faith teaches that Allah, out of His mercy, sent numerous prophets throughout history to guide humanity. These include prominent figures like Adam, Noah, Abraham, Moses, and Jesus. The final prophet in this chain is Muhammad (peace be upon him).

2. Belief in Qadar (Divine Decree): Muslims hold the belief that Allah’s knowledge encompasses all events, both good and bad, that unfold in the universe according to His will.

قوله تعالى: وَلَمَّا يَدْخُلِ الْأِيمَانُ فِي قُلُوبِكُمْ

وقوله تعالى: وَلَكِنَّ اللَّهَ حَبَّبَ إِلَيْكُمُ الْإِيمَانَ وَزَيَّنَهُ فِي قُلُوبِكُمْ
